About Us
Founded in 2006, XOPTRON’s initial focus was on the research and development of opto-mechatronic device for microscopic surface observation on porous and fibrous materials such as wood and composites. The irregularities of the surface posed challenges to conventional microscopic technique and thus novel method was conceived to quantitatively measure the fuzziness of surface.
The experience in porous material has led XOPTRON to expand the product development to other materials such as metal, polymer, glass etc. The design and development team based in Arnold, Maryland combined with the efficient manufacturing facilities in East Asia prove to be the ideal collaboration to roll out XOPTRON first microscopy series – the versatile X80. It followed by other state-of-the-art optical microscopy models that cover various fields of applications.
Today, we specialize not only in microscopy products, XOPTRON also develop other testing machines that are closely related, such as sample preparation, hardness, vision measure and digital products. We uphold our commitment to deliver highest quality solutions and services to our clients.
